How is it May already? We're not quite sure where this year is going! Our Spring dresses and tunics have been a big hit so far this season, with styles like this lovely striped tunic proving to be really popular in the recent sunny weather. Our new collection from Lily & Me can be paired with leggings and trainers for a laid-back look on cooler days, or you can swap the trainers for sandals when the sun comes out.
We're also a little bit in love with Leopard print and Polka-dot at the moment, from dresses and scarves to bags and sandals - we've got something for everyone. Shop the collection here.
With beautiful bold colours, pretty prints and soft, floaty fabrics, our new season dresses are a one-stop shop for easy spring styling.
In the rest of our blog you'll find details of our up and coming workshops! Read on to find out more.
We've got lots of workshops planned over the next month, our Essentials courses teach you everything you need to know about the Annie Sloan brand, products and techniques. Once you've completed the Essentials 1 Introductory workshop, you can join us on one of our mini workshops to refine your skills!
Learn the basics on our introduction workshop "Essentials 1". We'll teach you how to create texture with two colours, how to use the different waxes, including the fabulous gilding waxes and the lacquer. You'll also learn how to create a white wash! We'll provide everything you'll need, including some delicious snacks.
Our advanced "Essentials 2" workshop teaches you a whole host of different skills, including how to transfer images, gilding, random stencilling and frottage. Both of these workshops cost £65 each and take place in the 'living room' at our Ystradgynlais store. We keep the class size small to ensure you get the most out of your time with us.
Once you've completed the Techniques 1 course, you may like to join us on one of our 2 hour mini courses to Paint a Chair or Paint a Kitchen door. Practice painting a kitchen chair with our help and guidance, you're welcome to bring our own or we can supply one. If you've been thinking about painting your kitchen, but are unsure where to start then our second course may help! We'll help you paint a kitchen door in two styles, one flat and one textured. You'll also be able to try out the wax and lacquer to see which finish suits you best. Our mini courses cost £40 each, but you must have completed the Techniques 1 course first to ensure you understand the basics.
To find out more about the workshops and the available dates, call us on 01639 849159 or email us at hello@kindlehouse.co.uk.
Not only is Jo great with a paint brush, she’s also super organised and adds every single product that arrives at Kindle House to our system (so also does a million other things, but those were the first that came to mind!)
Hope you have a lovely month,
See you soon,
